The Senior Vice President, Enterprise Innovation and Development will be part of our innovative, entrepreneurial, high-performing Advisor Solutions team that is leading the evolution of LPL’s business lines and advisor affiliation models to make them highly competitive in the industry and poised to help our clients grow. The individual will be responsible for leading a team that designs solutions for our enterprise business’ current and future clients. These are businesses in our institution space (banks and credit unions) as well as our network partners (large advisor groups with centralized management structures). This individual needs to be able to solve client problems that are gleaned from explicit feedback, data analysis, lost client post-mortems, and thinking ahead about what will happen next in the competitive landscape.
What will you do as the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Innovation and Development?
Be accountable for growth in the business by assisting in recruiting new clients and providing capabilities for growth of existing clients.
Serve as a leverage point for our salesforces to be able to sell, position, and consult on solutions to enterprise business’s key problems.
Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal business partners to strategize and develop innovative solutions to attract and scale our offering, while serving as the accountable party to milestones, timelines, and outcomes.
Learn quickly from client, partner and prospect feedback, and apply an entrepreneurial mindset to iterate the offering nimbly.
Evaluate, analyze, and build the institutional business line business intelligence framework, metrics, and toolsets—including developing a formal cadence and structure for executive reporting on key business model updates, evolution, successes and known gaps that need attention, funding and development.
Leverage market data to identify opportunities, influence capabilities development, and inform recruiting campaigns of possible future partners.
Serve as strong leader who is able to break down obstacles, and who is able to scale and drive opportunities to the rest of their team.
What are we looking for?
We want a high energy, outside of the box thinker with a strong understanding of the independent wealth management industry and deep subject matter expertise of enterprise businesses. These businesses have unique needs and dynamics that are not inherent in other advisor businesses—we need to solve for those differences. The SVP, Enterprise Innovation and Development will have a unique ability to understand the various needs of banks and credit unions as well as large enterprises, their different interested parties, and the ecosystem that they require for outstanding support. We are looking for people with strong organizational, critical thinking and analytical skills who see the power in creating business lines that allow our clients and firm to thrive.
What skills and experiences are advantageous?
Minimum 8-10 years of extensive experience working in the independent wealth management industry, with a high level of proficiency in the bank and/or credit union or large enterprise space.
Familiarity with the unique business considerations for enterprises and how they differ from other advisor businesses, including regulatory compliance, technology, service experience, etc.
Desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team and an ability to succeed within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, grounded in tangible results.
Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and present findings in a clear and actionable manner
Demonstrated experience in general management; building, leading, and coaching high performing teams
Highly respected leader with reputation for recruiting top professionals, building strong, motivated teams, and creating opportunities for high potentials
Forward-thinking leader who moves beyond the status quo by using critical thinking and strategically thinking about future opportunities
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders to manage, execute and implement strategies that you designed.
Strong familiarity with the MS Office suite and Salesforce.
Ability to travel as needed (approx. 25-30% of time post COVID).
The preferred candidate will be local to an LPL corporate office.
