VP, Product Management

As Relationship Manager, you will not only focus on the Product but also the Relationship Management function and have alignment with your business partner(s).  This role will focus on our business leaders and increasing stakeholder satisfaction.  You will focus on the competencies that are business and customer-facing.  This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the business to understand their challenges and opportunities, and find innovative solutions within and outside of LPL to solve for them. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

Technology advocate – act as an advocate for your business partners

Business Evangelist  - educate the technology teams on the business, and where they are going

Provide Transparency into technology progress and expense to cultivate an open and honest relationships

Act as Technology Sponsor on each Strategic Effort for that line of business

Provide Vendor Management on various technologies  – OWN that relationship

Ensure the Products that serve our customers are Teflon coated and have growth plans towards industry leading

Advisor communication and response management: Manage a triage of advisor feedback, questions, and escalations across the product management team; document resolution, manage advisor calls and communication

Partner closely across the existing product team to understand the broad suite of technology capabilities combined with deep understanding of advisor needs to effectively execute on raising advisor sentiment through delivered feedback, advisor communication, incident management & analysis, and validated requirements and capabilities

Core Competencies:

Client Management & Communication: Effectively understand and manage relationships and communications with financial advisors

Market Identification: Competitive Analysis, Market Analysis, Product Positioning, SWOT Analysis, Personas, Adoption Metrics, Market Segmentation

Product Definition: Roadmap, BRD, Epic Journeys, User Stories

Qualifications

5-10 years Product Management experience

A track record of innovative thinking and problem solving

Financial Services experience

Product management experience within and agile delivery framework

Track record of delivering in Agile software development methodologies

Passion for delivering the best client experience both internally and externally

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management across multiple partner teams

Exemplary collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Superior skill and ability in multi-tasking and appropriate prioritization

Ability to effectively respond to dynamically changing work environment and to positively influence business outcomes
