The High Net Worth Solutions Team at LPL focuses on working with Advisors that serve high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions. The focus of this position is around the technology that supports Advisors in this space (Fortigent) in the realm of aggregated performance reporting, trading, research and practice management.
The Wealth Consultant’s primary roles are to provide our business-to-business clients with product specific technology consulting and support, as well be able to conduct data analysis for onboarding advisors. Being an effective communicator, as well as having an analytical mindset, is essential. Software and technical proficiency is a must.
Product Consulting - Have the ability to review, train and explain the technical products to the Advisor (40%)
Data and presentation analysis of historical performance and projects for onboarding advisors (25%)
Solve a wide range of Advisor questions regarding Fortigent’s performance reporting products and understanding how portfolio accounting data impacts the reporting (15%)
Fielding of ad hoc Advisor driven requests and be able to facilitate with internal constituents (10%)
Interfacing with team leaders to address specific needs of Advisors (5%)
Setting direction of Associate level team tasks and monitoring deliverables (5%)
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience Required: 3+ years industry experience
Software/Systems Skills Required/Preferred: High level of proficiency of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn proprietary software systems.
Physical Requirements for the position: Candidate must have a strong understanding of financial investment vehicles and current market climate; understanding of performance return calculations; must be self-motivated with close attention to detail and organizational skills.
Soft Skills required for the position:
Strong written and oral communication skills; must be strong in phone conversations, ability to work in a fast pace environment, ability to handle multiple projects, software and tasks at any given time in order to meet strict deadlines, ability to work with minimal supervision and to show initiative to take on new things without being prompted; experience in a business-to-business service environment is a plus.
