Job Overview:

We are looking for an inspired Software Engineering Manager with a background in development of cloud-native web applications leveraging technologies including ASP.Net, C#, Angular, jQuery, and varying third-party and cloud native databases. The candidate will be guiding a high velocity, multi-functional development teams focused on green-field technology platforms in the advisor configuration and compensation spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Daily coaching and mentorship of direct reports in regards to career development and engagement.

• Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems

• Develop positive relationships with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, deliver value-add solutions and support translation of problem statements into system requirements.

• Full application life-cycle coordination and management of deliverables in alignment with best practices and organizational compliance goals

• Collaborate with other shared services teams (technical and non-technical) to ensure solutions and platforms are both functional and sustainable.

• Use customer and business feedback to inform roadmaps and non-functional goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field

• 15+ years of professional software development experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines

• 7+ years in a technical team leadership capacity

• 5+ years of experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS

Preferences:

• 7+ years of financial services/brokerage firm experience required 

• Broad background in cloud native technologies, specifically

  • .NET

  • Angular and JavaScript

  • PostgreSQL

  • Cloud Containers and Severless Components

  • CSS

  • Semantic HTML

• Experience building Responsive and Reactive user interfaces.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience with DevOps processes

Pay Range:

$175,840-$263,760/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
