Job Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Resiliency, the Crisis Management Vice President is responsible for supporting the enterprise resiliency strategic vision by maturing the firm’s business continuity crisis management processes, procedures and playbooks. The ideal candidate is tasked with providing leadership in the maturation of the Enterprise Resiliency Program, including: leading crisis management at the enterprise level consisting of developing the firm’s crisis management framework, development and administration of crisis management tools, resources and training, and event response exercise development and facilitation. The successful candidate will take the lead in coordinating live event threat monitoring, event/exercise response and recovery coordination activities such as urgent communication tool administration, messaging protocols, distribution, reporting, and work closely with executive leaders, key partners and stakeholders (e.g. Corporate Communications, Technology Incident Management and business unit leaders). Additionally, this leader will develop, deliver and manage resiliency training covering resiliency and crisis management methodology and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the development, implementation, coordination, integration and maturation of the crisis management framework in collaboration with partners such as: the Corporate Security Team, Corporate Facilities Team, IT Disaster Recovery Team, Corporate Communications Team and other relevant corporate response entities across the firm’s footprint
- Manages all large and complex crisis management projects across the firm’s business areas and locations
- Provides governance and oversight of the crisis management program, including tools and resources and executes crisis management strategies, plans and playbooks ensuring alignment to regulatory requirements and industry standards (FINRA, FFIEC, NIST, etc.)
- Proactively self-identifies and documents crisis management risks, develops action plans and aids in the implementation of corrective actions and mitigating controls
- Develops and delivers comprehensive incident management training to ensure preparedness including training development and presentations to executive management
- Manages, monitors and drives response and recovery planning activities at the regional, national, and global levels with limited supervision
- Leads enterprise-level event response, management, and incident communications, including crisis communication framework, event communication protocols and leads the development of crisis communication templates
- Provides advisory support to corporate leadership during unplanned business interruptions that may impact the firm both internally and externally and ensures front line teams are effectively responding
- Facilitates live event Lessons Learned/Post Mortem assessments with front line teams, key partners and stakeholders to surface gaps and material risks, analyze and identify root cause for remediation and improvements to processes, procedures, plans and playbooks
- Develops, delivers and manages resiliency training covering resiliency and crisis management methodology, best practices and related tools including web-based training curriculum, and instructor-led training
- As a people manager, will provide direction, coaching and talent management for direct reports

Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in a resiliency or crisis/incident management role preferably in a financial services firm, coordinating response and recovery activities and driving adherence to regulatory and internal, business and/or technology controls
- Licenses/Certifications: Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), or Emergency Management Professional (EMPP), or Business Continuity Certification Designation (MBCP, CBCP or BCI equivalent) or successful attainment of CBCP certification within first 12 months as a condition of employment,
- Familiarity with using, administering and training others on BCP planning and incident management tools (preferably Archer, Everbridge, NC4, GETS/WPS or similar tools)
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of process, risk and controls frameworks e.g. RCSA, NIST CSF, FINRA, FFIEC BCP Handbook, Cybersecurity Checklist, US Dept. of Homeland Security Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), etc.
- Project Management experience with emphasis on resiliency and crisis management tools and training related projects

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize effectively and drive quality, on-time team deliverables
- Exceptional verbal and written communicator, able to remain calm under pressure and effectively communicate to large, senior audiences during high-profile events
- Strong influencing and demonstrated interpersonal relationship building ability to provide strategic leadership up, down and across the firm without having direct reporting authority to other executive and senior leadership teams, as well as internal business and corporate response partners
- Self-motivated, willingness to take on challenges, and adaptability to drive and adopt change
- Ability to design strategic solutions, effectively operationalize them and ensure tactical execution
- Must be available outside of regular business hours to facilitate response and recovery activities for the firm.
- Demonstrated ability to assess resiliency gaps and potential risks to firm, propose solutions and implement enhancements
- Skilled in project management methodologies
Pay Range:
$138,080-$207,120/year
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
