Overview: The Product Experience (PX) organization at LPL Financial is looking for an exceptionally talented AVP User Experience (UX) Research Analyst to join our team in San Diego, Fort Mill, or full-time remote. This role serves as a critical thinker who advocates for users, embraces human-centered design principles, and loves providing customer research insights to inform industry-leading product experiences. It will also understand industry trends; believe in identifying business and customer value early within the product process; have the ability to assess tradeoffs; and are experienced at driving to alignment on strategic plans that deliver valuable research insights and inform meaningful customer product experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for and implement user-centered research methodologies; incorporate user and business needs, assess technical capabilities, and drive for delivering dynamic and innovative customer product experiences
- Socialize, evangelize, and promote PX research across the organization
- Develop reports, workflows, user task analysis, personas, and journey/experience maps.
- Anticipate risks within projects, articulate concerns, and remove blockers for keeping research efforts on track.
- Create and execute on plans with buy-in from senior management and product owners, while driving experience outcomes for business, product, and customers.
- Lead in user research through every stage of the product lifecycle; planning and running usability studies, analyzing research reports, conducting heuristic evaluations, facilitating and moderating workshops, and performing low tohigh-fidelityy usability tests.
- Present findings to cross-functional teams and negotiate trade-offs between business goals, engineering challenges and customer product experiences.
- You innovate and partner with Operations and team Leadership for helping to operationalize and make ongoing improvements to the PX research program
What are we looking for?

Requirements: 5 plus years experience as a researcher and practitioner 2 plus years experience Product experience (PX), user experience (UX), or human computer interaction (HCI) background.

- Skilled in moderated interviews, unmoderated usability tests, surveys, guerilla usability testing, as well as, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods.

Pay Range:
