Job Overview:
As in any early-stage startup, the UI Software Engineering position will wear many hats: from documenting needs, interviewing stakeholders, demonstrating designs, collecting and measuring usability data and feedback, tracking requirements, and directly crafting and implementing user interfaces:
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and implement advanced web-based applications with a focus on UI/UX development
Integrate interactive interface components that connect to a system’s service-oriented architecture
Build, debug, optimize and improve new and existing web applications and systems
Lead conceptual design sessions, including mockups, wireframes, and level of effort estimations
Develop solutions according to modern standards and present during code reviews
Communicate regularly with technical and non-technical groups to provide solution support
Evaluate new design proposals, investigate and recommend solutions and process improvements to deliver interfaces that perform well and scale
Assist management in the technical assessment of risks and issues
Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
What are we looking for?

Requirements:
6+ years of experience in UI design and hands-on development
4+ years of development experience with Angular, React, or similar web framework
Expert experience with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS
Advanced knowledge of and experience with object-oriented concepts and design patterns
Core Competencies:
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and business teams
Detail-oriented and capable of delivering at a high level of accuracy
Experience contributing and operating within an Agile team
Good interpersonal and consultative skills
Preferences:
Experience with UX best practices
Candidates are expected to anticipate user and system needs and continuously consider and advocate for usability and measurable performance improvements to increase value as solutions and technologies evolve.
Experience with DevOps, including source control, release management, and continuous integration
Experience using a cloud-hosting provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Experience instrumenting real-time solution monitoring and reporting
Familiar with ADA needs
Pay Range:
$96,800-$145,200/yearThe salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.Why LPL?
