Job Overview:
As a Storage Engineer, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of LPL Financial solutions and services. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability as well as perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. You will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring applications and servers, respond to alarms in a timely manner to prevent client impact and performance degradation. As a member of this team, you will manage changes and project activities while communicating with impacted stakeholders. This includes developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities and complete assigned incident management tasks. You will be responsible for supporting multiple projects in responsive and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for being a hands-on administrator of multiple storage systems and backups.
Collaboration with storage engineering team, well-formed delivery teams, VMWare, Windows, Linux, and other engineering and operations team.
Backups we will require skills in Cohesity, offsite backup and cloud backups and restores.
Hands on responsibility for Infinidat, EMC PowerMax, NetApp, and EMC ECS platforms.
Emphasis on day to day administration of our storage platforms including firmware, hardware, and software upgrades.
Work in accordance with and execute LPL Financial policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report lapses in policies and procedures within scope of position.

Requirements:
5 years of storage administration and storage engineering work experience
5 years of experience with Cohesity Backup
5 years of experience with EMC PowerMax and ECS storage platforms
5 years of experience with NetApp physical and virtual appliances
5 years of experience with Infinidat storage platforms
Preferences:
Experience with disaster recovery methodologies
Experience with storage area networks, NAS and Virtual SAN’s
Experience with VMware vSAN
Knowledge of AWS cloud storage and backup a plus.
Experience with migrating storage between data centers as part of data center consolidation is a plus.
Create and maintain operational documentation
Participate in after hours on-call rotation for problem alerts
Configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting for Cisco SAN switches
Experience supporting scripting/automating server/client maintenance
May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
