Job Overview:

The Tech Lead - AWS will be well versed in digital-native cloud technologies will design, develop, and implement complex systems and solutions from utilizing .NET Technologies within AWS.  This individual will work cross functionally to ensure engineers can successfully implement technology solutions following Enterprise Technology standards using Agile practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the technical leader supporting an Agile Product Development team to deliver high quality technology solutions built with cloud native technologies and modern methods

  • Deliver high level quality as it relates to all aspects of software engineering (continuous integration, code quality, test driven development, adherence to target architecture, etc.)

  • Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architecture

  • Implement Enterprise Technology reference architectures, design patterns, and coding best practices

  • Support all team members to have the environment, permissions and tools necessary to execute with velocity

  • Improve team velocity and throughput to my mentoring and supporting junior team members

  • Design and implement n-tiered applications that perform across all quality requirements including but not limited to Reliability, Scalability, TCO, Supportability, etc.

  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Architecture and Support teams to design, and maintain the various platforms and their integration with other systems

  • Recommend opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road map

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems

  • Work collaboratively with QA, DevOps teams to adopt CI/CD tool chain and develop automation

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support

  • Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations

  • Developing appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product support

  • Stay informed of current and future technological trends and developments

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Full Stack Development experience utilizing .NET Technologies

  • 2+ years of senior software development team experience demonstrating the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage team responsibilities in order to meet deadlines and deliver quality technology solutions

  • 1-2+ years of experience with AWS software development using Amazon Web Services (AWS) with demonstrated technical understanding of the architectures, patterns, and techniques used to build modern SaaS applications and platforms

  • 1-2 years of technical leadership of product delivery teams

  • Managing Complexity: Understanding and managing the complexity associated with integrating digital touch points into the advisor and client journeys.

  • Operational Excellence: Driving efficiency (both TTM and ROI) into product development efforts through strong communication with IT and strong demand management.

Preferences:

  • Web/service development experience with the following technologies: .NET, C#, SQL server, MS SQL, Node, MVC, NuGet, JavaScript/JQuery, HMTL, JSON, CSS, TFS, GIT, pub/sub messaging technologies and patterns

  • Excellent understanding and writing of SQL server procedures, Views, functions and designing skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes containers, API Gateway, and Lambda Authorizer

  • Experience with Auroura Postgres and DocumentDB databases
