What will you do?
You will work under the direction of Innovation R&D lab and partner with LPL Labs for business strategy and drive the teams towards an MVP and then work with LPL technology framework to take it to production. You will have responsibility for leading new venture products providing technical leadership to other team members. You will be well versed in digital-native cloud technologies and have experience with technologies including ASP.Net, C#, Angular, jQuery, and MS SQL Server. You will be guiding a high velocity, multi-functional development team focused on green-field technology platforms. Activities will include daily oversight of development and enhancement of a series of prototypes to test design concepts for target state capabilities, then using feedback to refine and progress towards a scalable platform development.
Design and implement n-tiered applications
Manage technical development teams and work with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business problem statements into technical solutions, then help to plan Sprints that deliver quality results
Able to quickly access and size MVP for a new product venture.
Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support
Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architecture
Design patterns and coding best practices
Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations
Coordinate solution design with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Business to optimize speed to market and achieve prioritized business outcomes.
Once production build commences, coach the team in developing appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines
Stay informed of current and future technological trends and developments
4+ Years of demonstrated development team leadership
Advanced understanding of cloud technology, with specific emphasis on AWS’ serverless and cognitive services.
Several years of hands-on experience designing and implementing public cloud solutions.
Several years of hands-on experience in cloud-scale application architecture and design using modern frameworks like node.js, Loopback.js, Python, Go, etc.
Experience working in a startup or a lab environment
Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, data modeling design patterns/frameworks
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge in designing, refactoring, and unit testing
Experience with Agile development process
Preferred hands-on experience with MuleSoft, and/or other API Management tools
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
Proficient product planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
Critical Thinking: Formulating workable solutions to complex challenges; logically deliberating on courses of action by examining and challenging assumptions, discerning hidden value, objectively evaluating evidence, and assessing conclusions.

Managing Complexity: Understanding and managing the complexity associated with integrating digital touch points into the advisor and client journeys.
Operational Excellence: Driving efficiency (both TTM and ROI) into product development efforts through strong communication with IT and strong demand management.
